John is not only an incredible musician, but has been a great friend for over a decade now. He needed a few shots for some upcoming print pieces so we kept it real by shooting in our own backyard - Downtown Leeds. The only regret is that we had to keep it somewhat basic for this shoot, still a lot of fun. You can also click here to listen to John's music - great stuff.
This was my first family shoot of the year and it was a great one too. We went to Calera, AL to an old train depot that had tons of old, worn down trains that had a lot of character. The boys had a blast - as you can see. Here are some of my favorites.
I had the distinct pleasure of shooting the bride and groom portraits of a very fun/sweet/cool couple. It couldn't have been any colder either on this January afternoon. They braved the 30 degree weather (with wind chill much colder) in order to grab these great shots.
These are some of the coolest people I know. They impact hundreds of students each week at Church of the Highlands. We had a few minutes to snap some pictures of them for a web site launch. To say it was cold is an understatement. Here is what we managed in less than fifteen minutes in the cold.

Driving to Springville, AL on Saturday you could barely see 20 feet in front of you because of a dense fog that had settled over the entire Birmingham area. And being an outdoor wedding I wasn't quite sure how it would all work out. The answer - incredible. The fog couldn't but a damper on Bill and Allison's big day and it even gave it a unique flavor. Everyone was a champ and here are few of the moments that we captured. Congrats to Bill and Allison and God bless you both!
Allison and Bill were married today in Springville, AL. The wedding was beautiful and we'll have pictures up soon - until then these favorites from Allison's bridal portrait shoot in November will have to do. Enjoy.
